A new era in professional wrestling is upon us and war between AEW and WWE is well underway. If the last few months haven't been interesting enough things are about to step up a gear.Â
Vince McMahon is reportedly now fully of the mindset that WWE needs serious change if it is to stay relevant against AEW and the signing of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff at creative executives of both Raw and SmackDown respectively was just the first step.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is reporting that McMahon has something else up his sleeve and will launch a major counter to combat the upcoming AEW All Out pay-per-view in Chicago on 31 August. He said, "told to expect another major counter by WWE shortly."
Signs of WWE launching counter-attacks have already begun to surface with the company heavily promoting the 10th anniversary of EVOLVE which will air on the WWE Network against Fight for the Fallen next Saturday.
It will be interesting to see what McMahon has in mind for All Out given there probably isn't enough time to build up a major WWE event and SummerSlam will take place a few weeks prior.
There is every chance more indy companies will be brought on board or it might just be something we haven't thought of.
Let us know what WWE should do to combat AEW All Out?
