Bruce Prichard Reveals Steve Austin Wasn't Meant To Hit Vince With Bedpan

The Attitude Era was filled with memorable moments, but when thinking of the standout moments the Steve Austin and Vince McMahon interactions stand head and shoulders above the rest.

In 1998, Vince McMahon found himself in a hospital bed with his leg in a cast. Mick Foley would do his best to keep Mr. McMahon entertained with a clown and the debut of Mr. Socko. Also during that memorable scene, Austin would make a surprise appearance as Vince's "doctor."

What fans remember most from that classic moment was Austin smacking Vince over the head with a hospital bedpan, which according to Bruce Prichard on his podcast wasn't actually planned and completely improvised by Austin. Pritchard also revealed Vince had a huge knot on his head after the scene.

Prichard also revealed that Mr. Socko was the concept of Foley and Al Snow, who pitched it to McMahon and he wanted it included in the scene.
