WWE has added another name to its growing list of recent trademark applications, potentially providing an early hint at a future addition to its roster.

According to records from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, WWE submitted an application to trademark “Andi Summers” on August 14. Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen is named as the company's attorney of record for the filing.

At this stage, it remains unclear who WWE intends to use the Andi Summers name for. No wrestler has been publicly connected to the trademark, meaning its purpose remains a mystery for now.

The filing comes during a busy period of trademark activity for WWE, with the company securing a number of names and phrases in recent weeks.

Among those recently filed are Alix Brooks, Cruz Montana and WWE Radio, along with WWE Lock It In, WWE Championship Gold and WWE Scratchcard. WWE has also sought protection for AWA for merchandise-related purposes.

Earlier in August, the company filed an application for Vice City, a name believed to have been earmarked for Lola Vice.

Another intriguing recent application was “The Mike.” That filing came amid an ongoing joke involving The Miz and Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who also carries “The Miz” nickname. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee jokingly suggested that WWE's Miz could instead become “The Mike.”

Whether Andi Summers will soon emerge as a new WWE or NXT character remains to be seen, but the filing has provided another name for fans to keep an eye on.
