Haku’s recent return to WWE television may be more than a short-term appearance, with signs pointing towards the legendary wrestler continuing his role alongside the MFTs.

The former WWE and WCW star resurfaced on WWE programming at the end of July, appearing alongside his adopted sons Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga. Haku has since taken on a managerial role with the group and has remained involved in their recent appearances.

According to PWInsider, Haku is already in Boston and is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown from TD Garden. While the outlet has not been able to confirm that Haku is officially back with WWE on a full-time basis, his continued presence suggests fans could be seeing considerably more of him going forward.

“While we have not heard 100% he is in full-time, Haku is already in Boston ahead of tonight’s Smackdown and will be appearing tonight,” PWInsider reported when addressing questions about Haku’s WWE status.

Tonight will be an important one for the MFTs, as Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga are set to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Match. Champions Damian Priest and R-Truth will defend against the MFT duo and The War Raiders.

The championship match follows events from the July 31 edition of SmackDown, when Haku and the MFTs interfered during a match featuring Priest and Truth against Ivar and Erik, helping set the stage for the three-team title encounter.

Haku has also been getting involved away from SmackDown. He accompanied the MFTs for their victory over Nathan Frazer and Axiom on WWE Main Event this week. The match was taped alongside Monday Night Raw before being released on WWE’s YouTube channel on Thursday.

A WWE Hall of Famer, Haku has long carried a reputation as one of professional wrestling’s most legitimately tough performers. In addition to his WWE career, fans will remember his WCW run under the name Meng.
