Val Venis Questions Triple H’s Explanation for 2021 Cardiac Emergency

Val Venis Questions Triple H’s Explanation for 2021 Cardiac Emergency

Former WWE star Val Venis has sparked controversy after making an unsupported claim about the heart problems that brought Triple H’s in-ring career to an end.

Venis took to X to allege that Triple H’s serious cardiac issues in 2021 were caused by a COVID-19 vaccine. He offered no medical evidence to support the accusation and also dismissed Triple H’s own explanation that genetics played a part in his condition.

Venis wrote:

“I highly suspect the career of WWE star Triple H was cut short by the ‘Hebrew’ poison jab. Paul can claim his heart issue was ‘genetics’ all he wants. It’s a shame he does not warn others to not take the ‘Hebrew’ poison jab.”

The comments directly challenge what Triple H has publicly said about one of the most serious health scares of his life. There is no publicly established evidence linking his cardiac event to a COVID-19 vaccination.

Triple H suffered a major cardiac event in September 2021 and subsequently underwent treatment that included having a defibrillator implanted in his chest. The health scare ultimately brought an end to any possibility of him returning to the ring, with Triple H officially confirming his retirement from wrestling in 2022.

Since then, WWE’s Chief Content Officer has spoken openly about his recovery and the condition of his heart.

During an update in April 2025, Triple H revealed that the implanted device had never needed to activate and said his heart was functioning normally.

“I have a defibrillator in my chest. I don’t think about it… and it’s never gone off and my heart’s 100%. And I’m healthy.”

Triple H has attributed his heart problems in part to genetics, but Venis has now publicly questioned that explanation while presenting his own theory about the vaccine.

However, Venis did not provide evidence to substantiate his claim, meaning his comments remain speculation rather than an established medical explanation for Triple H’s condition.
