Sol Ruca finally gained some ground in her ongoing problems with The Judgment Day during the August 10 edition of WWE RAW, and she received some major backup in the form of Iyo Sky.

After spending weeks caught up in issues involving the group, Ruca joined forces with the former WWE Women’s World Champion to battle Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in tag team competition.

Earlier in the night, Ruca made it clear she was determined to change the direction things had been heading. During a backstage interview, she described herself as being trapped in The Judgment Day’s “vortex” for months and said the time had come to get some revenge.

However, settling the score with Rodriguez and Perez is not Ruca’s only priority. She remains focused on getting another opportunity at the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

There was initially some uncertainty over who would stand alongside Ruca on RAW. WWE played into the mystery with a backstage appearance from Danhausen, who approached Ruca and amusingly offered his services as her tag team partner at a discounted rate.

Unfortunately for Danhausen, Ruca informed him the position had already been filled.

When it was time for the match, Ruca made her entrance before Iyo Sky was unveiled as her surprise partner, giving her an experienced ally against Rodriguez and Perez.

Ruca opened proceedings against Rodriguez and immediately attempted to counter the considerable size and strength difference with her athleticism. A dropkick and a string of counters allowed Ruca to keep moving before she brought Sky into the contest.

Sky went after Perez as the newly formed pairing began building some early momentum. That advantage would not last, with Rodriguez and Perez eventually cutting Ruca off from her corner.

Rodriguez rocked Ruca with a powerful lariat, but Ruca managed to avoid an X-Factor and desperately worked her way towards Sky.

The tag eventually came, allowing Sky to explode into the match. She connected with multiple arm drags, a Shotei and a missile dropkick before planting Rodriguez with a butterfly backbreaker. Sky appeared to have an opportunity to finish things there, only for Perez to break up the pinfall.

From that point, the action became increasingly chaotic as both teams exchanged counters and high-impact offence.

Perez attempted to go after Sky, prompting Ruca to intervene and protect her partner. Perez later appeared to have Ruca in serious trouble after connecting with Pop Rox, but Ruca remarkably landed on her hands and avoided taking the full impact.

That escape proved crucial.

Ruca immediately responded with a superkick before eventually catching Perez with the Sol Snatcher to secure the three-count and give herself and Sky the victory.

Unlike some of Ruca's recent encounters with The Judgment Day, there was no outside interference or questionable conclusion to take away from the result. Ruca earned the decisive pinfall and, with Iyo Sky by her side, finally walked away from RAW with some valuable momentum.
