Perry Saturn has made a stunning allegation about Hulk Hogan’s WCW years, claiming Brian Knobbs carried drugs for Hogan to prevent the wrestling icon from being caught with them.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Saturn discussed Hogan’s powerful backstage circle after his arrival in WCW and claimed Knobbs served a very specific purpose beyond simply being one of Hogan’s close friends.

“He had Brian Knobbs there. Hogan brought his men. Brian Knobbs, great guy, got along with him great. He was there because he carried Hogan’s drugs. This way Hogan wouldn’t get busted with drugs. Brian Knobbs had them.”

Saturn offered no evidence to support the allegation, and it remains his claim.

The subject came up while Saturn was discussing how wrestlers connected to Hogan could quickly attract resentment backstage. He used The Renegade as one example before turning his attention to Knobbs and another longtime Hogan friend, Brutus Beefcake.

When it came to Beefcake, however, Saturn was far more understanding.

“Beefcake was there because they were friends for a lifetime, which I don’t fault Hogan for that because if I was in this position, I’d have got my friends jobs too.”

Saturn said he had no issue with Hogan using his influence to help longtime friends find work. In fact, he admitted he would probably have done the same thing.

His issue was what happened after they got through the door.

“But I would also have told my friends, ‘Well, f***, you can’t work… you’re going to make me look bad and hurt me.’ So I’d get him a job some way, but making sure they understood their limitations, which I don’t think Beefcake did.”

Saturn’s comments add another explosive story to the countless tales surrounding Hogan’s influence during WCW’s biggest years. However, the allegation involving Knobbs is Saturn’s account and has not been independently substantiated.

Whether anybody from Hogan’s former WCW circle responds remains to be seen, but Saturn has certainly given wrestling fans another controversial backstage claim to debate.
