WWE NXT star Shiloh Hill has provided an encouraging update on his recovery, suggesting he could be back inside the ring earlier than initially expected.
During this week’s episode of NXT, Hill appeared in a video message and confirmed that he suffered a fractured maxilla during his match against Tristen Angels last month. The injury has kept Hill out of competition while he undergoes the recovery process.
Hill has now offered some positive news regarding his condition. Taking to X, the NXT star explained that the positioning of the fracture, combined with how quickly the swelling has subsided, has led doctors to believe his absence may not be as lengthy as first anticipated.
“thank you all for all the get well wishes. recently got some good news which is that because of the placement of the fracture and how quickly the swelling has gone down. i may be back in the ring a little sooner than the Doctor’s initially thought. that being said, don’t miss NXT Live in Melbourne tomorrow and Jacksonville on Saturday,” Hill posted.
While Hill did not provide a specific date for his return, the latest medical assessment appears to be a promising development as he works towards being cleared for competition.
Hill’s path to WWE NXT came through WWE LFG, where he competed during the first season under the mentorship of The Undertaker. Hill finished that season as runner-up before returning for Season Two and going one better by winning the competition.
His performances eventually helped him secure a place on the NXT roster in December 2025, beginning the next chapter of his WWE career.
