A new report has revealed the expected destination for WWE SummerSlam 2029, with Indianapolis believed to be next in line to host the annual premium live event.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, a source familiar with WWE's plans indicated that SummerSlam 2029 is expected to take place in Indianapolis.
The reported location lines up with WWE's long term partnership with Indiana Sports Corp, which was announced in June 2024. The agreement included plans for WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and the Royal Rumble to be hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium over multiple years.
The first major event under that deal was the 2025 Royal Rumble, while WWE has also brought other marquee shows to the city, including WrestlePalooza at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in September 2025 and an episode of Monday Night Raw on March 2, 2026.
When the agreement was first unveiled, it was reported that the financial incentives involved represented the largest site fees ever secured for a WrestleMania or Royal Rumble. Despite that, WWE has yet to officially announce when Indianapolis will host WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer also previously discussed the agreement, writing:
"No financial terms were listed past the sports tourism agency was strapping into its $5 million tourism bid fund that is part of the state’s budget with the idea of luring major sports events to the city."
While WWE has not officially confirmed SummerSlam 2029's location, Indianapolis appears to be the leading destination based on the latest backstage information.
