Daniel Bryan is reportedly not set to return to WWE after his contract with the company recently expired.

The former WWE Champion was written off television after losing to Universal Champion Roman Reigns a few months ago. WWE had hoped to re-sign him but in an update from PWInsider, there is no internal discussion about Bryan returning to the company. 

There is a belief that Bryan will sign with All Elite Wrestling, although any intention Bryan has is not widely known.

PWInsider noted that Bryan is not part of any WWE licensing and merchandising for 2021-2022.
