On tonight’s edition of WWE NXT, during the main event that featured Undisputed Era members Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly taking on Tommaso Ciampa, Pete Dunne, and Matt Riddle in a Six-Man Tag Team Match, Velveteen Dream made his surprise return to NXT to launch a surprise attack on Undisputed Era as the group prepared to attack Ciampa following the match.

Dream had been out of action for the past number of months due to a serious back injury.
