Former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has won the first 'Best WWE Moment' award at the ESPN ESPY awards for his epic return to the company earlier this year.
Reigns, 34, returned to WWE in February, after revealing his leukemia diagnosis in October 2018, a disease he also thought in his youth.Â
Post-ceremony, the Big Dog said how being healthy was its own reward.
He said: "It was never about awards or anything like that. It was just about awareness, it was just about sharing my story and hopefully, someone could use it for a little bit of hope."
Roman's return to the company defeated Kofi Kingston's WWE title win, Becky Lynch's WrestleMania main event victory and Ronda Rousey capturing the RAW Women's Title at Summerslam 2018 to claim the prize.Â
