WWE announced on Monday night's edition of Raw that Rusev will defend the United States Championship against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam on August 21st.

The match was made by Raw General Manager Mick Foley following an in-ring segment involving Rusev and Reigns, in which Rusev and Lana attempted to reenact their vows from their wedding day, only to be interrupted by Reigns.
