Multiple sources are reporting that WWE may have released former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio from his contract, as his WWE.com profile has now been moved to the website's "Alumni" section.

As previously reported, Mysterio and WWE have been at odds for some time now regarding Mysterio's contract, with the company recently informing their creative department to drop all plans for Mysterio's return. There was also word that Mysterio was expected to be let go from WWE sometime before WrestleMania 31.

UPDATE: WWE sent out a statement confirming that Rey Mysterio Jr has parted ways with the company. A representative confirmed to TMZ that Rey Mysterio is, "no longer under contract to WWE". Rey was not released but instead his contract simply expired. MLWRadio's Court Bauer told TMZ that they would have an exclusive interview with Mysterio on the week of WrestleMania 31 at their website MLWRadio.com.
