UPDATED: CM Punk has signed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship MMA promotion and will fight in 2015. The news was announced at UFC 181 live. Punk was interviewed with Dana White to which he stated that this is "100% his new career. He also said it's a high possibility that he will fight at the middleweight stage (which is 185 pounds).

It should be noted that @FrontRowBrian had commented on UFC/Punk talks yesterday which was met with a certain amount of hesitation. The November 17th big announcement for UFC didn't go ahead as planned and Dana White mentioned they were "ironing things out" which FrontRowBrian pointed out to be the CM Punk signing. It should also be noted that Bellator attempting to sign Punk may have been an involvement with UFC going after Punk. He does note that UFC and Punk have been negotiating for a while.
