For those who missed Sunday night's WWE Battleground pay-per-view event, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were absent from the broadcast. The reason given was that the two were called away to an "emergency meeting" prior to the start of the event.

WrestleChat.net reports that while there is no confirmation on what the "meeting" was about, it could involve the imminent return of Vince McMahon to WWE television. As previously reported, Vince may end up making his return sooner than originally planned due to the recent drop in ratings. The WWE Chairman was reportedly originally scheduled to return to television sometime in November.

Upon his return, he is expected to begin a program which will see him turn face once again and work against his daughter and son-in-law.
