Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown and this week we come to you from Fort Wayne, Indiana and right out of the gate we kick things off with tag team action.
Sheamus & Randy Orton vs Team Rhodes Scholars
Damien Sandow calls for silence and says what happened last Monday on Raw was nothing short of a professional and managerial abomination. Not only was their surefire victory from the New Age Outlaws taken away from Team Rhodes Scholars, not only was their post-match endeavour with the Bella Twins postponed, but they were put into a match they were neither physically or mentally prepared for against Sheamus and Randy Orton whom he refers to as two vulgarians. Sandow then goes to relate a story told to him but Rhodes says Sheamus and Orton donât deserve the story and says itâs simple, they ruined Team Rhodes Scholarsâ date and night so now itâs their turn to ruin Sheamus & Ortonâs.

Post Match: The Shieldâs music hits. Orton and Sheamus are looking around but The Shield appear on the Titantron and tell Orton and Sheamus they donât have to be afraid. Or do they? Just not tonight. The Shield tell Orton and Sheamus they should know that the ring they are standing in belongs to The Shield and if they still donât believe that well they can ask The Big Show. Because on Monday night they dropped the Big Show and they served justice to the Big Show just like theyâve served justice to every major force in this industry and proceed to run down the list which include Ryback, Sheamus, Ortn, John Cena & The Rock. That brings up an interesting point. Theyâve taken Cena and Rock multiple times and laid them out. Flattened them in the centre of the ring just to prove they can and yet those two criminals continue to take from The Shield. Because they are the main event at Wrestlemania and somehow the most dominant force in this company, The Shield, doesnât even have a match at Wrestlemania and that is the greatest injustice theyâve ever heard of but thatâs an injustice theyâre going to serve themselves. They say no more games and challenge Orton, Sheamus and a partner of their choice. Any partner they want but to make sure they choose the right partner. Orton says heâs in and Sheamus says heâll see The Shield at Wrestlemania. The Shield then say The Showcase Of The Immortals now and forever becomes The Showcase Of Justice and at Wrestlemania they will believe.

Sheamus then asks if Showâs looking for the third spot as his and Ortonâs tag team partner and Show says he doesnât trust either of them. But in lieu of recent events thatâs exactly what heâs saying. They need a tag team partner thatâs merciless, thatâs brutal, thatâs vicious. A tag team partner that can bulldoze anything thatâs in front of him. They need a tag team partner thatâs an ultimate destroyer. Orton says he couldnât agree more. Show says they wonât regret this decision. Smart move. Sheamus says Showâs dead right and say he and Orton have selected Ryback to be their tag team partner. Ryback walks in and Show looks at him and walks off.
