Today, WWE announced via WWE.com that they had come to terms on the release of Kelly Kelly. The announcement read:

"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012. WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors," 

It is being reported that she was let go because she wanted to purse other interests such as modeling and acting outside of WWE. The former Divas Champion has in recent months taken outside bookings, something which WWE rarely approves however, they had hoped Kelly would sign a new extended contract but both sides could not reach an agreement and thus Kelly was let go by the company.
