The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE has signed Ashley Fliehr Johnson, the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair, to a developmental contract.
Previous reports from sources state that Johnson had announced her intention to follow in her legendary father's footsteps and begin training to become a professional wrestler.
In high school, Johnson was a star volleyball player who led her team to two North Carolina state championships. She is also a graduate of North Carolina State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree. Johnson is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and also attended Appalachian State University where she became a Division-1 Full Scholarship Athlete in the sport of volleyball.
Johnson is expected to report to Florida Championship Wrestling later this summer.
