WWE's main television programs are Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. But from 2006 to 2010, there was WWE's revival of what used to be Paul Heyman's Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) brand. When WWE closed ECW in February of 2010, it was replaced by WWE NXT.
Currently, WWE NXT and WWE Superstars are both featured exclusively on WWE.com with little or no fanfare. And unlike ECW, Superstars and NXT don't even have an exclusive Championship for their roster to fight for.
However, NXT and Superstars have become the home for very talented and underrated WWE Superstars, such as Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Yoshi Tatsu, and others.
Many fans complained that WWE's ECW was far too different from Paul Heyman's Original ECW. However, WWE's ECW has produced some of WWE's biggest Superstars of today, including: "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus O'Shaunessy, C.M. Punk, and "The All-American American" Jack Swagger. And ECW was also the brand where veterans such as Matt Hardy, Christian, Tommy Dreamer, Mark Henry, Kane, and Chavo Guerrero Jr. were finally able to win World Championships, though WWE no longer acknowledges the ECW Title as a "World" Championship.
