The Miz "Injures" John Morrison on "Raw"

On last night's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, former Tag Team Champions John Morrison and Mike "The Miz" Mizanin were scheduled to face off in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, however, John Morrison was attacked from behind during his ring entrance by The Miz with a steel pipe, which "severely injured" Morrison's leg.

Morrison attempted to compete with his injury, but was virtually dominated by The Miz and eventually suffered the Skull-Crushing Finale from The Miz at the top of the entrance ramp. Morrison was then put on a stretcher and taken out of the arena.

It has been speculated over the past week that last night may have been Morrison's final appearance on Raw before his WWE contract expires. There were rumors that WWE would have him lose to the rookie monster Brodus Clay, however, WWE once again postponed Brodus Clay's return. It should also be noted that Interim General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Mr. John Laurinaitis made a brief appearance on camera while Morrison was being placed onto the stretcher.

After the match, The Miz cut a promo inside the ring announcing that he was "taking out people who had held him down in the past." Last week was Ron "R-Truth" Killings, this week was John Morrison.
