WWE Smackdown Results (11/11)

For the very first time, Smackdown this week comes to us from Liverpool England and we are welcomed by Josh Matthews. Michael Cole then announces that WWE.com reported that at this year’s Survivor Series there will be a traditional 10 man tag elimination with Team Orton taking on Team Barrett

We kick things off with Randy Orton coming out to the ring and he says that when Teddy Long told him he was to captain his own team at Survivor Series, Orton told Long he doesn’t exactly play well with others.  Every team or group Orton has been a part of in his career in the WWE has imploded usually with him doing something horrible to what once were his friends.  Orton said he is not a leader but sure as hell is no follower. So in the end he has no problem being team captain at Survivor Series. He has no problem giving Cody Rhodes the beating of his life again. And has no problem shutting Christian’s mouth up once and for all.  He said he doesn’t know Jack Swagger all too well and doesn’t know Hunico whatsoever but has no problem doing with them what he must simply because they got in his way.  Orton is then cut off by Wade Barrett who makes his way out to the ring.  Barrett finishes Orton’s sentence saying Orton was about to say he has no problem with Wade Barrett but Barrett says Orton is wrong he has a huge problem. He says he knows he’s given Orton problems in the past but they will pale in comparison to the problems he gives Orton at Survivor Series. Barrett says they’ve both been in groups in the past and he’s never started as the leader of anyone. But because he’s a man, because he’s a natural born leader, people have always gravitated towards him.  Orton on the other hand is just a natural born predator. The kind of man that nobody is ever really going to trust. Wade says the Barrett Barrage that has been sweeping through Smackdown will continue at Survivor Series because he’s achieved a lot in his short time here in WWE but the one thing he’s yet to achieve is becoming the World Heavyweight Champion.  And for that to happen he needs Orton out of the picture. He needs to show the whole world he is Orton’s in-ring superior and that is exactly why his team is going to be victorious at Survivor Series. Barrett asks if Orton’s listening to him and Orton says he’s trying to imagine how high Barrett’s head would bounce off the mat after he hits him with an RKO. Christian then comes out wearing a neckbrace and says let’s be honest who does Orton think he’s fooling? Orton is going to be to his team what Yoko Ono was to The Beatles. Christian then explains he’s wearing the neckbrace because last week before his match with Sheamus he was brutally chokeslammed by The Big Show for no reason whatsoever but he is still able to be here tonight.  Christian said it’s not like Teddy Long was going to do anything about it. He’s never done anything for him before. He thanked Wade Barrett for coming down and volunteering his services. Not only did he volunteer his services but also went on to beat Sheamus in the ring.  Why that happened is because Christian inspires other human beings to be better.  Teddy Long offered Christian the position as captain of his team but he politely declined because of his obvious health concern he didn’t want it to be a distraction. That’s what leaders do and Christian is a leader and so is Wade Barrett and he proved it last week.  Christian then gave Barrett his full endorsement as the captain of the team and he gave that to Teddy Long as well. With Wade as captain they’re all equals and at Survivor Series they’re all going to be on the same page. Christian said he feels that him and Barrett are so in sync in fact that they just might send a message to Orton and his team and a brawl ensues between Barrett, Christian and Orton.  Barrett and Christian beat down Orton until Sheamus runs down to make the save. Teddy Long came out and addressed the situation stating that now Christian has recovered the only thing wrong with his neck and back is that he’s spineless and booked Christian vs Sheamus for tonight and the second match he booked is captain vs captain.  Randy Orton will square off against Wade Barrett.

Sheamus vs Christian

Christian and Sheamus lock up.  Side headlock by Sheamus, Christian with the irish whip. Sheamus off the ropes, duck by Christian, leap frog and Sheamus comes back with a shoulderblock.  Christian gets back to his feet and slaps Sheamus and Sheamus comes back with a body shot and a forerarm across the back and Sheamus beats Christian down with forearms and knee stomps.  Sheamus has Christian in the ropes and delivers the forearms across the chest.  Flipping him over the ropes, back into the ring 1…..2…..Irish whip by Sheamus, Christian sliding between his legs, from behind Christian slaps Sheamus again. And Sheamus comes back with a huge back bodydrop.  Sheamus rams Christian’s head into the turnbuckle, a body punch and a headbutt. Irish whip across the ring, and another whip back to the opposite corner.  Military press by Sheamus and he drops Christian face first to the mat.  Christian rolls out of the ring calling for a time out. Sheamus chasing him, Sheamus on the apron Christian swings, Sheamus blocks and lands a punch of his own.  Sheamus hooks Christian up for a suplex, blocked by Christian, a body punch to Sheamus and follows up with a slap.  Off the ropes comes Christian and Sheamus headbutts him in the stomach and a shoulderblock tackle from the ring apron.  Christian back to the outside.  Sheamus follows him again ramming his head into the announce table.  Sheamus scoops Christian up, Christian slides off and rams Sheamus shoulder first into the ringpost.  Christian tossing Sheamus back in.  Off the second rope and a dropkick by Christian 1…2…Christian with a series of punches but Sheamus comes back with his own.  Irish whip, Christian holds onto the rope, pulls the top rope down and Sheamus goes over the top falling to the floor.  A flying cross body by Christian and Sheamus catches him and delivers a fall away slam against the barricades.

Back in the ring, Christian measures Sheamus with an elbow to the head.  A chinlock on Sheamus into a side headlock.  Sheamus fighting back but Christian lands a punch before Sheamus takes control once more. Irish whip attempt but Christian pushes Sheamus down on the middle rope and a hot shot by Christian as he jumps over the ropes to the floor and lands a slap to Sheamus.  Christian back in, Sheamus pushing him away and Sheamus fighting back, tosses Christian over the ropes but Christian lands on the apron.  A swing by Sheamus, ducked by Christian and Christian with a neck snap off the rope.  Christian going to the top, Sheamus gets up, Christian jumps and Sheamus stops him with a punch.  Christian with another slap, irish whip reversed by Sheamus and Christian hits the turnbuckle.  Sheamus getting back up and delivering a series of clotheslines to Christian.  Sheamus has Christian in the corner beating him down.  Picks Christian up, and delivers a short arm clothesline.  Scoop and a slam 1…..2….Sheamus going for a clothesline, ducked by Christian, a kick to Sheamus’ knee.  Christian going up top and a sunset flip but Sheamus picks him up and pushes him against the corner and a slap by Christian.  Christian off the top and  Sheamus catches him and delivers the irish curse 1….2….a kick by Sheamus, sets him up for the Celtic Cross, Christian slides off Sheamus’ back and another slap by Christian.  Christian off the top rope, Sheamus catches him, fall away slam and a clothesline into the corner. Off the ropes, and a kneelift by Sheamus.  Sheamus goes to the apron, Christian grabs his leg but Sheamus punches him.  A boot to the knee by Christian followed up by a dropkick.  Christian to the top, Sheamus cuts him off with a series of punches.  Sheamus and Christian fighting on the top turnbuckle, Christian fighting back with punches, Sheamus charges and Christian catches him with a back elbow.  Charge by Sheamus, Christian side steps, through the ropes and a face kick to Sheamus.  Christian on the second rope, hits a DDT to Sheamus 1….2…a kick to the knee by Sheamus, Sheamus to the top and he hits the battering ram 1…..2…Sheamus with the Brogue Kick, countered by Christian, Christian setting up for the Killswitch, Sheamus with the atomic drop, Christian flips over his back, charge by Christian, Sheamus moves out of the way throwing him into the corner.  A kick by Sheamus, Celtic Cross, 1….2…3

We see video higlight from the Daniel Bryan-Mark Henry match from last week’s Smackdown

Backstage: Daniel Bryan is talking with AJ and Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn says she thought Bryan was going to wait until Wrestlemania to cash in his MITB.  He said he was he was out of it last week and didn’t know what was going on. But the good news is he has a rematch this week.  AJ wishes him good luck because she was so excited when she thought Daniel Bryan would become champion last week. Mark Henry walks in and asks Bryan if he thinks it’s that easy to cash in his Money In The Bank on Henry.  If he thinks it’s that easy to be champion.  Henry says it took 15 years for him to become champion and he pokes Bryan and Bryan cuts him off and says he won Money In The Bank and he doesn’t care if it took Henry 500 years to become World Heavyweight Champion, if Henry is still World Champion at Wrestlemania, Bryan is going to beat him.  Henry tells Bryan he’s got guts, it’s just a shame he’ll have to spill them all over the ring tonight.

We then throw to a video highlight package of “The Personification Of Domination” Ezekiel Jackson.

Backstage: Teddy Long is talking with Charles Robinson and tells him he’s doing an excellent job of officiating and tells him to be on top of his game tonight.  The lights begin to flicker and sax music plays and in walks Aksana. Aksana asks if Teddy saw the Diva’s halloween battle royal and says she had so much fun and cannot wait to compete again. Long says he wants Aksana’s first time on Smackdown to be special.  Aksana starts flirting with Long and Long says he wants Aksana to get a little more seasoned and wants her to observe someone with a little more experience.  Teddy then brings Alicia Fox in and says he wants Aksana to be in Fox’s corner tonight.  Aksana then mistakes Alicia Fox for Rihanna

Ted DiBiase vs Jinder Mahal

Mahal begins the attack with a kick to DiBiase.  Irish whip, Mahal ducks and DiBiase catches him with a boot to the face. DiBiase off the ropes again and Mahal catches him with a high knee to the face 1…..2….Mahal lays DiBiase back down and hits a kneedrop on DiBiase.  Irish whip by Mahal, looking for the clothesline, Dibiase ducks and hits a flying high knee to Mahal.  Inverted atomic kneedrop by DiBiase followed up with a punch.  Mahal swings, DiBiase ducks, off the ropes and a clothesline sends Mahal to the mat. Irish whip by DiBiase, countered by Mahal, Mahal catches him in the full nelson but can’t lock it in.  DiBiase with a couple of back elbows to Mahal and an overhead toss to the mat.  Mahal swings, DiBiase counters locks in the Dream Street 1…2…3

Daniel Bryan vs Mark Henry

A low kick by Bryan but Henry pushes him off.  Bryan with another low kick on Henry.  Henry beating Bryan down with forearms to the back. Henry picks him up, throws him over the top rope to the floor.  Henry follows and tosses Bryan against the barricade.  Henry pressing Bryan’s head down hard on the ringsteps. Henry picks him up and tosses him back in and he kicks Bryan and steps on his chest.  Henry picks him up, military press and drops him right across the top rope.  Henry charges, Bryan moves out of the way and Henry hits shoulder first into the turnbuckle.  Bryan up to the top.  And a dropkick by Bryan and Henry falls to one knee.  A series of kicks to the champion. And one last kick to the temple and Henry is down. Bryan looking for the LeBell Lock but Henry counters and stands up, Bryan on his shoulder as Henry falls backwards dropping Bryan hard. Henry has Bryan in the corner and delivers a series of headbutts.  Henry grabs a leg and pulls Bryan out of the corner.  Off the ropse and the big splash by Henry 1….2…but Henry picks Bryan up.  Bryan challenging Henry and Henry picks him up, delivers the World’s Strongest Slam 1….2….3

Post Match: Henry exits the ring and grabs a steel chair. Bryan fights back, grabbing the chair and he whacks Henry across the back with the steel chair. Henry turns around and hits Bryan with another WSS.  Off the ropes, and a flying elbow drop by Mark Henry.  Henry then picks him up and delivers a third WSS.  Henry drags Bryan to the corner and places the chair around Bryan’s ankle. But out comes The Big Show. And Henry holding Show at bay with the steel chair.  Henry whacks Bryan in the back with the steel chair.  Henry goes to hit Show but Show got the fist up and punched the chair out of Henry’s hand.  Look of shock on Henry’s face as he retreats to the safety of the entrance.

Big Show vs three local wrestlers

The three local wrestlers gang up on Show.  Beating him down with punches and kicks.  But it’s show getting back to his feet.  Headbutt to all three opponents.  Show pushes his two opponents down.  Picking them both up, wrapping his hands around their throat.  Chokeslam.  And Show going after the third opponent.  Picking him up over his head and tossing him back in, WMD. 1….2…3

The winner of the match: The Big Show

Post Match: Henry grabs the mic and asks if he’s supposed to be impressed.  Those guys aren’t him.  He’s the World Heavyweight Champion. He says he knows he impressed Show last week when he gave Show the WSS. He knows he impressed Show when he sent Show home on vacation for 4 months. He impressed show and all the fans when he won the World Heavyweight Championship and it’s going to happen again at Survivor Series and what he gives Big Show is going to leave a long lasting impression.

They show video package promoting Wrestlemania 28 from Miami Florida.

Alicia Fox vs Tamina

Natalya is out for commentary on this next match as Alicia Fox is set to square off against Tamina. Tamina and Alicia lock up and a knee to Alicia and Tamina grabs Alicia and tosses her against the turnbuckle and delivers a series of kicks.  Fox fires back with a couple of punches but Tamina maintains control and delivers a headbutt.  Tamina picks Alicia up and tosses her across the ring.  Tamina picks her up again and once more with the hair toss across the ring.  Tamina with a submission hold on Alicia.  Alicia fighting to get to her feet but Tamina holds her in place.  Alicia fighting out of it and she tosses Tamina over her head with a back bodydrop. A back elbow by Alicia and another one followed by a dropkick.  And Alicia and Tamina are trading forearms and Tamina with a scoop and a slam. Tamina off the ropes looking for a big move, Alicia rolls out of the way and a kick to the head.  A backflip leg drop onto Tamina 1….2…3

Backstage: Matt Striker is interviewing Sheamus and says lately people have been saying he has a tendency to get a little hot headed. Sheamus says he doesn’t know what Striker is talking about because he’s generally a nice guy.  He said he can either go to the MTV European Music awards to present an award to Justin Bieber or he can hang out with his cousin Beeker from the muppets.  He’s all about having a laugh, having a good time, and besides, he doesn’t have a temper. Striker than says that Sheamus does tend to have a mean streak.  Sheamus turns his head and stares Striker down and smiles and says he’s just spirited and walks off.

Hunico & Epico vs The Usos

Hunico, Epico & Primo are in the ring as we throw to footage from last week’s smackdown with Sin Cara taking on Epico.

Epico starts out with a kick to Jey and punches, Jey reverses it backs Epico into the corner and delivers a series of punches followed by a series of kicks.  Ramming Epico’s head into the turnbuckle.  Tag to Jimmy Uso and Jey whips Epico into Jimmy who hits him with an open handed palm strike 1….2….Uppercut by Jimmy.  An irish whip to Epico, Jimmy ducks and Epico with a kick to the face.  Epico off the ropes, blind tag by Hunico, Jimmy swings, ducked by Epico and a back elbow by Jimmy and Hunico comes in and mows Jimmy down with a clothesline.  Hunico putting boots and fists to Jimmy.  Hunico picks Jimmy up, rams his head into the turnbuckle, tag to Epico.  Hunico throws Jimmy into Epico who lands a dropkick 1…..2….Epico picks Jimmy up and delivers a punch. And Epico stomping away on Jimmy.  Tag to Hunico who jumps over the ropes and lands a double stomp to Jimmy 1…..2….Reverse chinlock by Epico. Jimmy turns it around looking for the tag as Hunico holds him in place.  Back bodydrop by Jimmy and he gets the tag.  Jey Uso in now dropping Hunico with a series of forearms.  A kick to Hunico followed up by an open handed palm strike. Hunico off the ropes, Jey ducks and a corkscrew forearm by Jey.  Jey charges across the ring and a back splash onto Hunico. Jey drags him to the middle of the ring 1….2…but Epico breaks up the count.  Jimmy running in, Epico ducks and Primo on the apron with the distractions and Epico from behind with a knee to the back.  Epico turns around and a superkick by Jey.  Hunico with a slam on Jey, Hunico to the top and hits a swanton on Jey 1…..2….3

Post Match: Jimmy slides back in and checks on Jey but Hunico and Epico toss Jimmy out of the ring and they, along with Primo, are circling Jey.  And it’s a three on one assault by Hunico, Epico & Primo.

Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett

Barrett & Orton lock up looking for the upper hand and it's gained by Orton who has Barrett backed in the corner. Orton breaks it and they lock up again.  This time it's Barrett backing Orton into the corner.  The referee gets a clean break but Barrett kicks Orton. and Barrett with a side headlock takedown.  Orton to one knee, back up to his feet and an irish whip to Barrett, Orton ducks, Barrett bounces off the ropes and Orton catches him with a dropkick 1.....Side headlock by Orton and Barrett backs Orton into the corner. Barrett punches Orton but it's blocked and Orton lands a couple of his own, irish whip, reversed by Barrett and it's Orton in the corner but he comes back with a series of clothesline and former bare knuckle fighter goes down. Orton stomps on Barrett, holds on to that top rope and another stomp on Barrett.  Orton off the ropes and he delivers a kneedrop 1....Orton picks Barrett up and Barrett with a body punch follows with a series of them but Orton counters with a european uppercut.  Irish whip by Orton across the ring, and Orton charges but Barrett gets the boots up. Barrett on the second rope and an elbow drop onto Orton 1...2..Orton rolls to the outside,  Barrett follows and Orton with a kick and a forearm across the back.  Irish whip into the ringsteps, Barrett climbing up over the steps and he kicks the steps into Orton's knee. And Barrett whips Orton shoulder first into the ringsteps.

Back in the ring, Barrett with a chinlock on Orton. Orton fighting to his feet, a series of elbows breaks the hold. And Orton follows up with punches, Orton off the ropes and Barrett catches him with a knee. Barrett picks Orton up slams him down 1....2...Orton on the ropes, Barrett choking him out with the knee in back of Orton's neck. Barrett pulls Orton up through the middle ropes and chokes him out on the top rope.  Barrett off the ropes, and the huge boot to the face sends Orton to the floor.  Barrett follows and rams Orton back first into the apron. Barrett tosses him back in 1....2....chinlock by Barrett and Orton fighting to his feet and Orton hits a couple of headbutts to Barrett.  Orton off the ropes and he gets caught by Barrett. Side slam to Orton 1....2....Barrett on the second rope, Orton cuts him off, Orton climbing up, hooks Barrett and delivers a suplex 1....2....Both superstars are down and Orton gets up and it's a slugfest between Orton and Barrett and Orton wins by ending the slugfest with a kick to Barrett followed up with a forearm and another punch.  Irish whip, reversed by Barrett, Orton with a kick to Barrett's face and a clothesline.  Orton with another clothesline. Barrett swings, Orton ducks, Barrett off the ropes, powerslam by Orton.  Orton coiling up, picks Barrett up, pulls him through the middle ropes and drops him with the DDT. Orton looking for the RKO, Barrett pushes him into the referee, Orton turns around a right by Barrett, the roll up 1...2...3

The winner of the match: Wade Barrett!!!!
