Josh Bishop captured his first MLW World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night SuperFight, defeating Killer Kross in a bloody Last Man Standing main event.
The fight spilled into the crowd as both men used tables, chairs and a bat in their bid to leave with the championship.
Bishop delivered the decisive blow by putting Kross through a table with the Exit 187. Kross attempted to pull himself up using a chair, but Bishop kicked it away while the champion was still on his knees.
With Kross back on the mat, the referee continued the ten count. He could not get to his feet in time, handing Bishop the victory and the title.
The result ends Kross’ championship reign at 283 days, during which he made seven successful title defences. Bishop now begins his first run as MLW’s world champion.
