A rumoured new faction on WWE Raw appears to be news to the wrestlers reportedly involved.

Speculation has linked Rusev with Ethan Page and Big Cass, but Fightful Select reports that, as of last week, none of the three had been told about plans for the group. That does not rule out WWE considering the idea, although it supports Rusev’s recent comments that nothing has been pitched to him.

Speaking on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Rusev described the rumours as “internet booking”. He also questioned whether he would want to join Page after his former ally found another big man to back him up during his absence.

“It’s very internet booking,” Rusev said about the faction. “You know, ‘We have one, two, three bad guys. Let’s put them together.’ I have not heard anything about this. But also, I don’t know if I’m okay with it either. I left for a couple of months, I got hurt, then I got the sickness, [then I have the kid] [coming], and Page just goes out there and finds another tall guy to back him up. Like, eff you, bro. You never called me, you never text me, you never checked on me. Like, you’re just gonna go and find yourself a big goof? Good for you. I don’t want to be associated with people like that.”

Rusev has been missing from WWE television since July. During a Raw match against Je’Von Evans, his hands went numb after a kick to the head. He later suffered an illness, which he believes was unrelated to the injury.

He returned to action at WWE house shows in Hawaii last month and says he has been ready for a television comeback for around two months.

“Good, good,” Rusev said when asked how he was feeling. “I did get kicked in the head, my hands went numb, felt better, finished the match. Then, I got a little sick after that. Not related, I don’t believe it was related. So I was out for that. But then, I’ve been ready. I’ve been good for about two months. I’m just waiting to go back to TV.”

For now, there is no confirmed plan to bring Rusev, Page and Cass together on Raw.
