Darren Young has returned to WWE NXT, with the former Tag Team Champion now helping the next generation at the Performance Center.

Young, who also wrestles as Fred Rosser, announced his return on social media nine years after his WWE release. This time, he is stepping into a coaching role and bringing his own experience to the company’s developing talent.

For Rosser, being back in familiar surroundings has been an emotional experience.

“Nine years ago today, I was released from [WWE] Today, I’m back at [WWE NXT], fighting back tears of joy every time I pull up to the Performance Center and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the next generation. I’m always hearing what WWE is looking for NOW I’m able to see it for myself and be a sponge in this environment.”

He also reflected on his own journey through WWE’s developmental system and the chance to pass those lessons on.

“I once stood in this environment, beating on my craft alongside incredible coaches, and quickly made my way to the main roster. Now, I’m back sharing those experiences and helping shape the future.”

Rosser finished his message with a nod to the original NXT and his familiar “No Days Off” motto.

“And when you talk about NXT, don’t forget the ORIGINAL NXT! MR. NO DAYS OFF baby! Nine years later, still standing, still inspiring, and STILL NO DAYS OFF! WWE, thank you for the opportunity. You know what time it is? IT’S TIME TO GO TO WORK!”

During his previous WWE run, Young held the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Titus O’Neil. He has remained active in the ring, most recently competing at PRODUCE Volume 6: Hell Comes To Dogtown on 22 October 2026.

His return now gives him an opportunity to help others build their own WWE careers.
