Ric Flair has delivered a typically outspoken response to fans concerned about his health following his recent fall in Tampa.
The WWE Hall of Famer took to X on Friday to address people asking how he is still alive, reflecting on his demanding wrestling career and the serious health challenges he has overcome.
“The question I keep getting asked is- how am I still alive? After 5,000 matches with 2,400 of them being one hour draws and 5 90 minute bouts. Round trip to Japan, 24 hours, only to wrestle three one hour draws. Airplane crash, 31 days in the ICU and 14 days on life support. 35 days in rehab. And you are worried about me falling down and hitting my eye? WTF,” Flair wrote.
His comments follow a fall outside a Tampa restaurant on October 23, which resulted in him being taken to hospital. Charlotte Flair reassured fans that evening, saying her father was “going to be ok.”
Flair provided a further update on Wednesday, revealing that he needs another operation and possibly a skin graft. Despite the additional treatment, he remained upbeat, saying “and then I will be good to go.”
He also thanked the USF Health Eye Institute for his care.
Everyone at WNS wishes Ric Flair a full and smooth recovery.
