Enzo Amore remains interested in a WWE comeback after holding talks with the company earlier this year, according to Fightful Select. However, he has not signed a deal, leaving a potential reunion with Big Cass uncertain.
The update came during a Fightful Select Q&A when a reader asked whether WWE intended to bring Amore back as Cass’ tag team partner on Raw.
“There is no scoop on Big Cass. He was signed, he’s been on the show, and is slotted where they see him. It’s definitely puzzling to the audience. Enzo Amore had talks with WWE this year, and from what I understand, still wants to go to WWE. However, he is not signed,” the report said.
Fightful also questioned how a reunion would fit into Cass’ current run, while making clear that no such plan had been confirmed.
“It definitely would be the reverse order of how people should be brought in, as Enzo struggling then bringing in Cass would have made more sense, but I don’t know that’s the plan anyway, or that there even is a plan.”
Cass returned to WWE on the August 3 episode of Raw in Des Moines, Iowa, attacking Je’Von Evans. His comeback followed his departure from AEW, where he competed as Big Bill.
On this week’s Raw in Fresno, California, Cass joined forces with Ethan Page to defeat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee.
Amore has been away from WWE since January 2018. He and Cass built their partnership in NXT before moving to Raw, where their team split when Cass turned on him in 2017. Amore later captured the Cruiserweight Championship.
Despite their years apart in WWE, the pair have remained in touch. Amore said earlier this year that he and Cass still speak every week.
