AJ Styles stepped back into the ring for a family moment, coming to the aid of his son Avery at an Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment event.
The retired WWE Hall of Famer intervened after Averyβs match against Jones, preventing a post-match attack on his son. It was a rare chance for fans to see Styles get involved inside the ropes following his retirement.
Styles last competed against Gunther at the 2026 Royal Rumble. Since then, he has moved into a backstage role with WWE, including coaching at NXT and helping develop the next generation of wrestlers.
Avery is now building his own career. He made his wrestling debut in June before appearing on TNA IMPACT in August, where he confirmed he had signed with the promotion.
His first TNA match is scheduled for Bound For Glory on October 11. Avery will enter the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, with the winner earning a future championship opportunity.
With his TNA debut approaching, Avery already has a memorable moment to look back on alongside his father.
