AEW Dynamite opened its September 30, 2026 episode with a heartfelt tribute to PAC, as Excalibur and Tony Schiavone remembered both his extraordinary wrestling career and the man behind the performer.
The announcers spoke warmly about Benjamin Satterley’s love for his family, his kindness towards colleagues and the interests that brought him joy away from the ring.
Excalibur opened the broadcast with the following tribute:
“Hello, and thank you for joining us tonight for this very special tribute to Pac, Benjamin Satterley, who tragically lost his life over this weekend.
“Benjamin was, he was a bastard in name only. He was a devoted son, a loving husband, and a dear friend. He was an incredible athlete and a relentless perfectionist. Your favorite wrestler’s favorite wrestler, but he was also the most humble, warm, and supportive person you could imagine.
“From a distance, he appeared quiet and reserved, but if you got him talking about sausage dogs, his family, his beloved Magpies, dancehall music, or the hedgehogs that visited his garden, he would light up, and his passion would shine.
“Whether you knew him as PAC, Neville, the King of the Cruiserweights, the Man That Gravity Forgot, or simply Ben, you know he was one of a kind, and there will never be another like him.
“One day, we’ll meet again, galloping along the Scotswood Road to see the Blaydon Races. We love you, Bubba. We miss you.”
Schiavone then reflected on the loss felt throughout AEW, explaining that PAC’s warmth and generosity had left a lasting impression on colleagues across the company.
“Thank you, Excalibur. Fans, we in AEW are family. Not only the performers in the ring that you see, but the people behind the curtain. The guys in the video truck, the ladies in the video truck, the cameramen, the announcers, we are all family.
“And on Sunday, when we got the news about Ben, we were grief-stricken, and we’re still that way today. We appreciate everybody coming out here tonight as we honor one of the greats ever in the ring.
“Ben taught us a lot. He taught us about how you could be great in the ring and be a bastard, but when you walk through the curtain, you could be a wonderful human being. Yeah, he taught everybody that.
“And I think what we can learn from Ben, from PAC, is to be kind to everybody, to be nice, to be friendly, to be the things that he was. He left that impression on me, and he left that impression upon this entire family.
“We honor him tonight with this AEW Dynamite.”
