John Cena has paid tribute to Benjamin Satterley, known to wrestling fans as PAC and formerly Neville, with a photograph celebrating his spectacular talent.
Following AEW’s announcement that Satterley had died at the age of 40, Cena shared an image on Instagram on Monday showing the former WWE star performing his signature Red Arrow. A cause of death has not been announced.
In keeping with his usual Instagram style, Cena posted the photograph without a written message, allowing the moment to speak for itself. PAC later continued using the move outside WWE under the name Black Arrow.
The tribute also brought back memories of their meeting on the May 11, 2015, episode of Raw, when Neville answered Cena’s United States Championship Open Challenge.
Facing one of WWE’s biggest names, the former NXT Champion delivered a performance that gave fans plenty to remember. Neville countered Cena’s offence, escaped the Attitude Adjustment and came within touching distance of winning the championship.
After connecting with the Red Arrow, Neville appeared poised to secure a huge victory. Before the referee could complete the count, however, Rusev entered the ring and attacked him, bringing the match to a disqualification finish.
Cena retained his title, but Neville emerged from the encounter having shown he could compete with WWE’s leading stars.
Years later, Cena’s tribute offers a reminder of the athleticism and ability that made Satterley such a memorable performer throughout his career.
