Persephone Retains AEW TBS Championship Against Dani Luna at All Out: Chicago

Dani Luna's AEW debut ended in disappointment at All Out: Chicago, as she was unable to dethrone Persephone and capture the AEW TBS Championship.

Luna, the former WWE and TNA talent, answered Persephone's TBS Championship Open Challenge at Saturday's pay-per-view and immediately looked to make an impact in her first AEW match.

Luna controlled much of the early action, but Britt Baker repeatedly attempted to disrupt her momentum. Baker eventually knocked Luna off the top rope, giving Persephone an opening to regain control.

Luna fought her way back into the contest, only for Persephone to halt her comeback with a German Suplex from the apron. Luna responded by delivering a German Suplex of her own from the apron, keeping the championship within reach.

Baker continued to play a factor as the match progressed. At one point, she grabbed Luna by the hair to prevent the challenger from completing a pinfall attempt.

The closing sequence began when Luna took Baker out with a dive to the outside. However, the move left Luna vulnerable, allowing Persephone to immediately follow with a dive of her own.

Luna attempted to hit Persephone with another German Suplex from the apron, but Baker intervened by grabbing onto the champion's legs and preventing the maneuver.

With Luna unable to complete the German Suplex, Persephone capitalized on the opening. The champion connected with the Razor's Edge and covered Luna for the three-count.

Persephone therefore retained the AEW TBS Championship, extending her reign to 28 days.

Luna's AEW debut comes after her departure from TNA Wrestling earlier this year, following months of speculation that she could eventually make the jump to AEW.

Meanwhile, Persephone captured the TBS Championship from Maya World during the All In: London pre-show and continues to hold the title after successfully surviving Luna's challenge at All Out: Chicago.
