WWE is reportedly pressing ahead with plans to hold WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite concerns over security in the region.

According to PWInsider, Saudi representatives visited WWE headquarters in Stamford earlier this month for discussions about the event and its logistics.

WWE is expected to prepare contingency arrangements, as it does for its other Saudi Arabia events, and work with private security experts in the region.

Although reports have suggested that WWE has discussed potential alternative venues in the United States, sources told PWInsider it is too early for any fallback location to have been finalised.

The company has, however, discussed contingency plans for November’s Crown Jewel should ongoing issues in the Middle East and North Africa require a change.

Meanwhile, the dates for WrestleMania 43 are reportedly largely settled. WWE is keeping that information restricted to those who need it as preparations continue.
