WWE kept the backstage drama going after the September 25 episode of SmackDown, releasing digital exclusives featuring a warning for the MFTs, a tense encounter with Haku and an awkward moment for Tatum Paxley.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki made their intentions clear as Bakusai targeted the MFTs’ tag team titles. Nakamura accused the champions of being cowards after their father, Haku, interfered on their behalf last week. Kyoki promised they would be ready for Haku next time, with the pair vowing to take the gold.

The Miz also had the tag team championship picture on his mind. While complaining to Kit Wilson about missing out on Money in the Bank, Miz revealed he planned to approach Nick Aldis about a title match.

That conversation took an unexpected turn when Haku and the MFTs blocked their path. Wilson responded by reading Haku an angry haiku, prompting Miz to pull him away from the confrontation.

Elsewhere, Ricky Saints tried to cause trouble after taking issue with a conversation Fraxiom and Rey Fenix had about him. Saints approached the War Raiders and claimed Fraxiom had been calling them soft since they lost the AAA Tag Team titles.

Erik reacted by throwing Saints against a wall, but Ivar stepped in to calm his partner. Rather than dismissing the criticism, Ivar admitted there was truth to it and said they needed to remind everyone who they were.

Meanwhile, Alexa Bliss was comforting Charlotte Flair following her failure to qualify for Money in the Bank when Tatum Paxley arrived with some news of her own. Paxley revealed she would compete in a qualifying match next week.

Flair was in no mood to celebrate. She blamed Paxley’s candles for bringing her bad luck before storming off, leaving Bliss to follow and console her.

Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin then arrived and dismissed the suggestion that Paxley, Flair and Bliss were all friends, adding another uncomfortable moment to Paxley’s night.
