Kairi Sane remains in talks with AEW, but fans hoping to see her appear at All Out may have to wait.

According to Fightful Select, Sane has not signed with the company and is not currently planned for the September 26 pay-per-view. Discussions are continuing, with the report noting that a dual contract is expected if an agreement is reached.

Several promotions around the world have reportedly shown interest in Sane following her WWE release in April. However, Fightful previously indicated that Japanese women’s promotion Marigold was not expected to be her next destination.

Sane has yet to wrestle since leaving WWE. Whenever she returns to the ring, she could once again compete as KAIRI, the name she used outside WWE and currently displays on her social media accounts.

During the period between her two WWE runs, Sane wrestled for Stardom and NJPW in 2022 and 2023. Her history with Stardom makes the promotion a potential fit for a dual arrangement, although no such deal has been confirmed.

The latest update also appears to rule out one of the names fans had suggested for Persephone’s TBS Championship open challenge at All Out in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Persephone’s challenge is open to anyone except former champion Maya World and her allies, Hyan and Thunder Rosa. While Sane had been among the rumoured possibilities, Fightful’s report indicates that an appearance is not on the current agenda.
