Kurt Angle has postponed his upcoming UK appearances because of an undisclosed health issue, with new dates already confirmed for his Inside the Ropes shows.

The 57-year-old WWE and TNA Hall of Famer was due to appear for National Wrestling League in Manchester on September 27, followed by Inside the Ropes events in London and Glasgow on September 28 and 29.

Both organisations shared video messages from Angle on September 24 confirming that he would no longer be able to make the trip.

Inside the Ropes has moved its shows to February 1 and 2, 2027. The events will give fans the chance to meet Angle and hear him discuss his career in a live interview. Existing tickets will remain valid.

“Due to health reasons, I will not be able to attend the Inside the Ropes shows in the UK this weekend,” Angle said. “I want to apologize to all the fans in Glasgow and London. And I just want to say that the shows will be rescheduled in early February next year. So if you had a valid ticket for this year’s show, you will have a valid ticket for next year’s show. I will see you there. Oh, it’s true, it’s damn true.”

National Wrestling League confirmed that fans who purchased a VIP meet and greet with Angle will receive automatic refunds. Further information about general admission tickets will be sent to those affected.

“Kurt is incredibly upset that he is unable to join us and apologises profusely to the fans who were looking forward to meeting him this weekend,” National Wrestling League wrote.

Angle has not shared further details about the health issue.

This summer marked 30 years since his Olympic gold medal victory. His daughter Nikoletta is also showing a strong interest in amateur wrestling, continuing the family’s connection to the sport.
