Zoey Stark has addressed speculation about her sexuality, telling fans she is straight while making clear her support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Speaking with Ring The Belle, the former WWE star, also known as Zoey Serrano, questioned whether the rumours stemmed from her partnership with Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler. She explained that the comments have continued even when she shares posts featuring her husband.

“Is this because I was teamed up with Sonya [Deville] and Shayna [Baszler]? Hold on. This will never die. Look, I love my gays. All right. I love you all. I am straight, though. I am going to put that out there, because even to this day, when I post something with me and my husband, who you [the interviewer] just met, I still get comments. I’m an ally. But I am straight, you know. Sorry, ladies.”

Stark also welcomed the idea of being considered a queer icon, crediting Deville with breaking barriers before sharing a running joke from their time together.

“I mean, if we want to call myself a queer icon, I am more than happy. But, you know, Sonya really broke through with it, right? I was there for a good time, baby. I mean, we did have a running joke that I am the gay one. I’m more gay than Sonya and straighter than Shayna.”
