Layla has shut down claims she repeatedly rejected WWE returns, while keeping the door open for a LayCool reunion.

The former champion responded after fans claimed WWE had invited her back several times and blamed her for staying away.

“No that’s not true and not what I said,” she wrote. “I left in 2015 after I had signed a new contract and in 2021 I was pregnant! Please don’t be so bold when you actually don’t know the facts!”

Layla then made clear which comeback could interest her.

“I do believe some fans would love to see Me back, definitely for a LayCool Reunion, am I wrong?” she wrote.

Layla left WWE in July 2015, shortly after signing a new contract. She previously explained that the decision was sudden, realising after arriving at the arena one day that she no longer wanted to continue.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet in June, she recalled declining a WWE invitation in 2021 because she was pregnant and had not shared the news publicly.

A full-time return remains off the table, but a one-off appearance alongside Michelle McCool is something she would consider. Layla has repeatedly named a LayCool reunion as the reason she could step back into WWE.

The 2006 Diva Search winner held both the WWE Women’s Championship and Divas Championship during her career. She has not wrestled since 2015.
