AEW’s Continental Classic is heading to Denver.

The 2026 tournament kicks off on the November 18 episode of Dynamite, live from the Mission Ballroom. That is the first Dynamite after Full Gear, keeping the tournament’s traditional starting slot.

The round-robin competition splits wrestlers into two leagues, with three points awarded for a win and one for a draw. Every match has a 20-minute time limit, with nobody allowed at ringside and outside interference banned.

Reigning Continental Champion Jon Moxley automatically enters the tournament. He won last year’s edition by defeating Kyle Fletcher in the semi-final before beating Kazuchika Okada at Worlds End.

Moxley most recently retained against Nigel McGuinness at All In: London, also winning the separate Continental Challenge Cup. Before the Classic begins, he challenges Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at All Out in Chicago on September 26.

The remaining entrants and this year’s field size have yet to be announced. The finals are set for Worlds End, although a date for that event is still to be confirmed.

With an earlier start than last year, AEW has more time to play with. Whether that means extra competitors or a change to the schedule remains unclear.
