AAA TripleMania 34 returned to Arena CDMX in Mexico City for a second night featuring four championship matches, a Mexican Street Fight and the Copa Bardahl.

Dominik Mysterio defended the AAA Mega Championship against Rey de Reyes winner El Grande Americano, while Flammer put her lengthy Reina de Reinas Championship reign on the line against La Catalina. Rey Fenix faced three challengers for the Cruiserweight Championship, and The War Raiders issued an open challenge for their tag team titles.

The evening delivered several title changes, an unexpected betrayal and an emotional celebration to close the show.

Copa Bardahl Cibernatico Match

The Copa Bardahl opened the action with 15 competitors entering at 90-second intervals. Eliminations could take place by pinfall, submission or by sending an opponent over the top rope with both feet touching the floor. Omos entered as the defending winner.

Mr. Iguana started against Abismo Negro, returning to action after unsuccessfully challenging his friend La Parka for the Latin American Championship on Night 1.

Negro attempted a military press, but Iguana escaped and used a headscissors to transition into an armbar. Histeria entered next, giving Negro a fellow Los Vipers member to help him take control. Iguana survived a pin attempt before the pair tried to throw him out.

Mascarita Sagrada arrived and brought Negro down with a headscissors, although the numbers soon caught up with him. Iguana passed him La Yesca, allowing Sagrada to fight back against both opponents with the puppet.

The advantage shifted further towards Los Vipers when Taurus entered. He drove double knees into Iguana in the corner, and the group followed with a sustained attack that included a top-rope double stomp from Negro. Sagrada tried to intervene but was cut down by a spear from Taurus.

El Fiscal entered wearing a Skeletor-inspired outfit and immediately targeted his rival Negro. Fiscal eliminated him and then tried to remove Taurus and Histeria, who both managed to hold on. Negro returned to the ring to eliminate Fiscal, and the two continued fighting towards the back.

Laredo Kid arrived next, looking to bounce back from a disappointing first night. He hit Taurus with a headscissors, caught Histeria with a Mexican Destroyer and delivered a driver to Sagrada before exchanging punches with Iguana.

Mecha Wolf entered eighth and planted Laredo with a DDT. Iguana struck Mecha with La Yesca, only for Mecha to bite him. Sagrada attempted to help, but Mecha slammed him onto Iguana, who still kicked out of the resulting cover.

Latin American Champion La Parka was the ninth entrant. He delivered backbreakers to Histeria and Taurus, followed by a flapjack to Laredo. La Parka then eliminated Taurus and pinned Histeria after a bone breaker, clearing out the remaining Los Vipers members.

La Parka and Iguana joined forces before El Mesias entered at number ten. Mesias immediately made an impact with a clothesline to La Parka, a powerslam to Laredo and a backbreaker to Iguana. He also attacked Sagrada and began working alongside Mecha Wolf.

Dinamico entered eleventh and launched into a flurry of offence. He dropkicked Mesias, hit Laredo with a cutter, powerbombed Iguana and caught La Parka with a knee for a near fall. A springboard cutter to Mecha followed, but Mecha responded with mist. Mesias then hit a spear, and the pair combined to pin Dinamico.

Texano Jr. arrived at number twelve, taking the fight to Laredo and Mecha before hitting them with a double powerslam. He then traded punches with longtime rival Mesias and earned a two count.

The atmosphere changed when Omos entered thirteenth. The remaining competitors prepared to confront him, but the giant quickly began overwhelming the field.

Sagrada stood in front of Omos, who lifted him for a slam before the others swarmed. Texano, Laredo and Mesias were unable to stop him, and Mecha was eliminated after a chokeslam and pinfall.

La Parka offered resistance but was clotheslined over the top rope. With Iguana and Sagrada still involved, Chris Carter entered at number fourteen and was immediately thrown out by Omos.

The final entrant was two-time Copa winner Nino Hamburguesa. He went straight after Omos, backing him into a corner and connecting with a splash.

Omos recovered and eliminated Iguana. Sagrada then jumped onto the giant’s head, causing him to topple over the top rope. However, Omos kept his feet from touching the floor, returned to the ring and eliminated Hamburguesa to secure another victory.

Match Result: Omos wins the Copa Bardahl for the second year in a row.

AAA Reina de Reinas Championship Match: Flammer (c) vs. La Catalina

Flammer entered with a championship reign of 1,128 days, but La Catalina had earned another opportunity by winning the contender’s gauntlet at Ola de Calor.

The champion had previously retained against Catalina and Lady Shani in a triple threat at Verano de Escándalo. Afterwards, Flammer told General Manager Rey Mysterio she intended to take TripleMania off because she had already beaten every worthy challenger. Mysterio instead arranged the gauntlet that brought Catalina back into contention.

There was also a confirmed challenger waiting beyond this match. Roxanne Perez defeated Natti, Faby Apache and La Hiedra on Night 1 to earn a title shot at Worlds Collide on September 26. Following that match, tension appeared to develop between Flammer and La Hiedra.

Catalina began with a headlock, then knocked Flammer down with a shoulder block and dropkick. After taking further punishment, Flammer rolled outside and dragged Catalina out by the ankle, driving her into the commentary table and steel steps.

Back inside, Flammer stomped the challenger and applied a chicken wing-style submission. Catalina escaped with kicks and punches, but Flammer answered with a hard forearm and an octopus hold. Catalina eventually powered through and slammed the champion to break free.

A dropkick and hip attack sent Flammer outside, where Catalina followed with a spear. Flammer responded by throwing her into the barricade, but Catalina climbed onto it and launched herself back at the champion with a splash.

Catalina returned Flammer to the ring and connected with a missile dropkick. A corner hip attack earned a two count, as did a modified Gory bomb.

Flammer countered with a double stomp and a double-underhook move that drove Catalina down onto her head for another near fall. The champion continued with chops and kicks, only for Catalina to fire back with a spear.

Flammer stopped another corner attack with a kick to the face and hit a sit-out powerbomb for two. She then missed a top-rope Swanton. Catalina attempted to capitalise with a splash, but Flammer raised her knees.

A Codebreaker and a dropkick sent Catalina outside. Flammer brought her back in and looked towards the entrance, seemingly expecting someone to appear. Nobody came.

Catalina seized the opening, slammed Flammer and left her hanging against the ropes. A hip attack and running knee followed, giving Catalina the decisive pinfall and ending Flammer’s lengthy reign.

Match Result: La Catalina defeated Flammer to win the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.

Catalina now moves towards a championship defence against Roxanne Perez at Worlds Collide.

Mexican Street Fight: Psycho Clown vs. El Carnicero

The rivalry escalated on the August 8 episode of AAA when El Carnicero attacked Psycho Clown during a triple threat match for a place in the vacant Latin American Championship bout.

Psycho later interrupted Carnicero’s in-ring debut at Ola de Calor with a kendo stick, causing a no contest before challenging him to a Mexican Street Fight.

Carnicero, who had been stalking the Psycho Circus since February, caused more problems on TripleMania Night 1. Psycho replaced the injured Panic Clown in the Trios Championship defence, but Carnicero’s involvement drew him away from Murder Clown and Dave the Clown. Los Perros del Mal capitalised to win the titles.

Carnicero began attacking people at ringside during Psycho’s entrance, giving Psycho an opening to strike. Psycho threw punches until Carnicero stopped him with a big boot and hurled him across the ring.

Psycho retrieved a kendo stick and broke it across Carnicero’s back. Carnicero grabbed and destroyed the stick, but Psycho dropkicked him outside.

A suicide dive went badly for Psycho when Carnicero threw a rubbish bin into his head in mid-air. Carnicero followed with forearms and clotheslines before bending a chair across Psycho’s back and repeatedly driving it into his stomach.

Carnicero attempted a leg drop, but Psycho repositioned the chair and left his opponent landing painfully on it. Psycho then used the chair to fight back before retrieving a Slim Jim-branded table and setting it up inside the ring.

Carnicero punched the chair out of Psycho’s hands and knocked him down, then wedged the chair between the turnbuckles. His plan backfired when Psycho avoided a charge and sent him crashing into it.

Psycho struck Carnicero with the bin, placed him on the table and delivered a top-rope splash through it. Carnicero still kicked out at two.

The pair resumed trading punches, and Psycho tore away the outer face section of his mask. He reached for another bin, but Carnicero kicked it back into him.

With Psycho trapped in the ropes, Carnicero initially prepared to charge before stopping, smiling and retrieving a toolbox from beneath the ring.

Pagano then made his return, entering with a kendo stick and positioning himself between the two men. However, instead of protecting Psycho, he stepped aside and allowed Carnicero to strike him with the toolbox.

Carnicero made the cover and secured the victory.

Match Result: El Carnicero defeated Psycho Clown.

The attack continued afterwards. Pagano handed Carnicero the kendo stick, and Carnicero beat Psycho with it until it broke apart, adding another damaging blow to the Psycho Circus after their title loss the previous night.

Backstage, Dorian Roldan and Dominik Mysterio celebrated Omos’ Copa Bardahl victory with him. Dominik told Omos he could remain backstage during the main event, insisting he had El Grande Americano under control.

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: Rey Fenix (c) vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Mini Vikingo

This match followed a three-way contender’s bout between Nathan Frazer, Jack Cartwheel and Mini Vikingo at Ola de Calor that ended in a time-limit draw.

Rey Fenix subsequently offered all three men a championship opportunity, setting up the four-way contest. Each challenger was also coming off action on TripleMania Night 1.

Before the match began, commentary confirmed that the evening’s Mega Championship main event would have a No Disqualification stipulation.

Cartwheel immediately attempted a quick pin but could not even secure a one count. Vikingo broke up his momentum and countered a sunset flip from Frazer.

Cartwheel hit Fenix with a neckbreaker, swept Frazer’s legs and followed with a Slamstand. A rolling senton to Frazer brought an early two count.

Frazer responded with a Sling Blade to Cartwheel and took down Vikingo for a near fall. Fenix kicked Frazer outside but ran into a superkick from Vikingo, who then cleared Cartwheel and Frazer from the ring.

Vikingo hit Fenix with a Destroyer for two before launching a twisting dive from the ring post onto Frazer and Cartwheel at ringside.

Back inside, Vikingo delivered a poisonrana to Fenix for another near fall. He returned to the top rope, but Fenix stopped him with an uppercut.

Frazer and Cartwheel attempted to combine against the champion, only for Fenix to catch both with a double cutter. Fenix then kicked Vikingo from the apron and brought him down with a moonsault.

Cartwheel caught Fenix with a kick, but the champion answered with a slam. Fenix also cut off Frazer with an aerial attack for two.

Frazer recovered, took out Cartwheel and Vikingo, and dived through the ropes onto Fenix. He quickly returned the champion to the ring and climbed to the top, where Fenix met him with a German suplex from the ropes.

Frazer later caught Fenix with a superkick for two. Cartwheel attempted to steal the match with a roll-up but was unable to keep his opponent down.

After sending Cartwheel outside, Frazer attempted a springboard dive. Cartwheel and Vikingo moved, leaving Frazer to crash face-first into the commentary table.

Cartwheel pulled Fenix from the top rope with a powerbomb. Vikingo then took out Cartwheel and delivered a top-rope crucifix driver to the champion.

Cartwheel answered with a Destroyer to Vikingo and a twisting splash onto Fenix, but Frazer returned in time to break up the cover.

All four men rose and exchanged chops, followed by superkicks and a series of strikes that left everyone down in the centre of the ring.

Fenix recovered to hit Cartwheel with a Mexican Muscle Buster. Vikingo broke up the pin with a shooting star press, then attempted his own cover on Cartwheel for two.

Fenix next positioned Vikingo for a Mexican Muscle Buster from the second rope. Frazer intervened with a powerbomb that brought both men crashing down.

Cartwheel rocked Frazer and sent him into the corner before cartwheeling over the top rope onto Fenix and Vikingo outside. He returned to hit Jack’s Arrow on Frazer, who managed to kick out.

Vikingo followed with a twisting 450 splash onto Cartwheel. Fenix immediately caught Vikingo and delivered the Mexican Muscle Buster, securing the three count to retain his championship.

Match Result: Rey Fenix defeated Nathan Frazer, Jack Cartwheel and Mini Vikingo to retain the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

Afterwards, new Trios Champions Los Perros del Mal intimidated a production staff member backstage and demanded their entrance music.

They marched to the ring and attacked Vikingo, Frazer and Cartwheel before posing on the ring posts and delivering their message: “God forgives, Los Perros do not.”

AAA World Tag Team Championship Open Challenge: The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs. TBD

Erik and Ivar entered TripleMania having held the championships since May’s Noche de Los Grandes, where they defeated Pagano and Psycho Clown.

Their open challenge was answered by brothers El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr and Galeno.

AAA World Tag Team Championship Open Challenge: The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr & Galeno

Wagner started against Erik and used the ropes to build momentum before knocking him down. Ivar tagged in and exchanged punches with Wagner, who then brought Galeno into the match.

The brothers combined against Ivar, and Galeno attempted an early cover. Ivar kicked out and rolled outside to regroup.

Wagner knocked Erik from the corner, but Ivar capitalised by grabbing Wagner and sending him into the barricade. He returned Wagner to the ring for a two count.

Erik tagged in, and the champions continued working over Wagner near the ropes. Erik also struck Galeno in the corner before applying a face lock to Wagner.

Wagner fought free, and he and Erik collided with simultaneous clotheslines, creating an opening for Galeno to enter.

Galeno hammered Ivar in the corner, scoop-slammed Erik and followed with a splash off the ropes. Ivar regained control, dropped Galeno and climbed to the top for a moonsault that earned a near fall.

Erik tagged back in, but Galeno fought his way to Wagner. Ivar cut Wagner off and picked up another two count.

The War Raiders connected with a double powerbomb on Wagner, only for Galeno to break up the pin.

Galeno pulled down his straps and launched himself over the top rope onto both champions. He then sent Erik back inside, where Wagner delivered the Wagner Driver.

Galeno followed with a top-rope splash and secured the pinfall, crowning the brothers as the new champions.

Match Result: El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr & Galeno defeated The War Raiders to win the AAA World Tag Team Championship.

AAA Mega Championship No DQ Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) w/ Dorian Roldan vs. El Grande Americano

El Grande Americano earned this opportunity by defeating La Parka, Santos Escobar and “OG” El Grande Americano in a four-way match at Rey de Reyes.

His issues with Dominik intensified at Verano de Escándalo, where they reluctantly teamed as Los Gringos Locos 2.0 against Los Perros del Mal. Dominik abandoned Americano during the match before revealing his alliance with Omos and Dorian Roldan.

At the Ola de Calor contract signing, Americano challenged Dominik to prove his claim to be the “King of the Luchadores”. When Dominik refused to sign, Rey Mysterio threatened to strip him of the championship, but Americano insisted on winning the belt in the ring.

Dominik eventually signed after Rey and Omos agreed to their own match for TripleMania Night 1. Omos won that encounter and secured his reinstatement to AAA, leaving him free to become involved in the title match.

Americano wasted no time, opening with a dropkick to Dominik’s face. He sent the champion from corner to corner, landed repeated strikes and took the fight outside.

After bouncing Dominik’s head off the commentary tables, Americano clotheslined him over the barricade. They fought into the crowd, where Americano drove Dominik into a steel railing.

Dominik attacked the eyes to turn things around and dragged the challenger back towards ringside. He chopped Americano against the apron, but Americano responded by throwing him into the steel steps.

Americano removed the upper section of the steps and attempted a piledriver. Dominik escaped and swept his leg, sending him crashing onto the steel.

The champion retrieved a chair, struck Americano across the stomach and tore his singlet. Inside the ring, Dominik continued the chair attack until Americano tripped him and fought back with punches.

Dominik regained control and delivered more chair shots. Roldan then handed over his trouser belt, which Dominik used to repeatedly whip the challenger.

Americano eventually caught the belt and refused to release it. He pulled Dominik towards him for a clothesline, followed with punches in the corner and connected with an enzuigiri for two.

The challenger then used the belt on Dominik, returning the punishment before hitting a rolling senton and a kick to the face for another near fall.

Americano wrapped the belt around Dominik’s neck, but Roldan climbed onto the apron to distract the referee. JD McDonagh appeared and punched Americano, allowing Dominik to connect with a 619.

Rayo and Bravo Americano rushed out to chase McDonagh away. Bravo climbed the entrance screen and dived onto McDonagh and a group of security personnel.

Inside the ring, Americano hit an Air Raid Crash, but Dominik kicked out.

Rayo and Bravo began returning to ringside, only for Omos to intercept and attack them on the ramp. Americano attempted a dive through the ropes onto Omos, but the giant barely moved and drove him into the ring post.

Omos stalked the challenger and lifted him for a chokeslam. Americano escaped by attacking his eyes and delivering a low blow, then repeatedly struck him with a chair until Omos dropped to his knees beside the barricade.

When Omos charged, Americano moved aside and sent him crashing through the barricade.

Americano returned to the ring, avoided an attempted low blow from Dominik and connected with a running headbutt. Dominik narrowly escaped the resulting pin.

The challenger climbed to the top rope, where Dominik joined him for an exchange of punches. Americano knocked the champion back to the mat, but Liv Morgan ran out and pushed Americano from the ropes.

Dominik capitalised with another 619 and a frog splash, yet Americano again kicked out.

The next exchange saw Americano accidentally take out the referee. Liv slid the Mega Championship belt to Dominik, who struck the challenger with it before climbing up for another frog splash.

Americano moved out of the way and connected with a second running headbutt. He made the cover, but the referee remained down.

Rey Mysterio then arrived wearing a neck brace and a referee’s shirt. He entered the ring and counted the three, confirming El Grande Americano as the new AAA Mega Champion.

Match Result: El Grande Americano defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the AAA Mega Championship.

A full mariachi band joined the celebrations as Americano sat in the ring, visibly emotional and holding his newly won championship.

He embraced Rey before climbing the turnbuckles to celebrate with the Mexico City crowd, bringing TripleMania 34 to a memorable close.
