Will Ospreay has devised a new match for Pro Wrestling EVE, with Clockwork Carnage set to debut at Global Thunder Queens Attack on Friday, October 2.

The event will be available on MyAEW PPV and through EVE’s Champion Tier on YouTube. Eight wrestlers will compete across two stages, with the winner earning a shot at the EVE championship of their choice.

EVE credited the AEW World Champion with creating the concept and confirmed that qualifying matches will begin on September 4.

“On Friday October 2nd EVE debuts The Clockwork Carnage – a brand new match type from the mind of AEW Men’s World Champion Will Ospreay. A number of matches on Sept 4 will now be Qualifying matches for the Clockwork Carnage, the winner of which will be Number 1 contender for the EVE Championship of their choice!”

The match starts with eliminations before switching to a race to score the most falls. Here is how it works:

• Two randomly selected competitors start the match.
• Another randomly selected wrestler enters every two minutes until all eight have entered.
• Before the final entrant arrives, anyone pinned or forced to submit is eliminated.
• Once the eighth competitor enters, the remaining wrestlers begin a 15-minute scoring period.
• Every pinfall or submission during that period earns one fall.
• The wrestler with the most falls when time expires wins.

Surviving the opening stage is only half the challenge. Those still standing will then need to collect falls against the clock to secure a championship opportunity.
