The Creed Brothers are back in NXT, and they wasted little time making their presence felt.
Brutus and Julius Creed made a surprise return to the brand on Tuesday night, attacking Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar following their tag team victory over Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy.
After the match, Julius and Brutus stormed the ring and quickly took control. Noam Dar was planted with a suplex before Brutus turned his attention to Moreno.
Moreno was left laid out after Brutus climbed the turnbuckle and delivered the devastating Brutus Ball, with the commentary team making it clear that the Creed Brothers had officially returned to NXT.
Their reasons for coming back remain a mystery for now.
In a video posted on social media following the show, Brutus and Julius confirmed that fans will not have to wait too long for answers, promising to explain why they have returned next week.
The move comes after a relatively quiet period for the Creed Brothers on WWE's main roster.
They were previously aligned with the original El Grande Americano and largely disappeared from television while he recovered from injury.
The brothers later resurfaced with a very different look, wearing masks and competing as Julio and Bruto Creedo under the Los Americanos Hermanos name.
That storyline eventually came to an end when Chad Gable lost to El Grande Americano in a mask vs. mask match.
Although Brutus and Julius have been absent from Raw and SmackDown recently, they have remained active in the ring through appearances on Main Event.
They have picked up victories over Dar and Moreno, as well as Birthright members Charlie Dempsey and Uriah Connors.
Now the Creeds appear to have found themselves a new home, but the biggest question is why they have returned to NXT and who they plan on targeting next.
