Jamie Hayter has opened up about Britt Baker’s surprise AEW return and admitted she has no idea whether their next meeting will end with friendship or a fight.

Hayter was celebrating alongside Alex Windsor after the pair captured their first AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship at All In at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking at the post-event press conference, Hayter was asked about Baker’s return and the complicated history between the former allies.

Hayter, Baker and Rebel were once closely associated on AEW television before Hayter eventually stepped away from the group and established herself as a singles star. Her rise ultimately saw her capture the AEW Women’s World Championship.

However, Hayter admitted so much time has passed since she and Baker were together that she cannot predict what will happen when they finally cross paths again.

“It’s been such a long time since we interacted, been in the same room, been in the same ring together. I’m just don’t know what would happen. Are we going to be cool? Are we going to fight? What’s it going to be?,” Hayter said.

“The point really is today is great moment for her to be back in the mix. Much like me, coming back at Wembley, there really isn’t a better stage for it so it really was a special moment.”

Baker made her surprise return during the All In Buy In pre-show, getting involved as Maya World defended the TBS Championship against Persephone. Baker’s involvement ultimately cost Maya the title.

Later in the evening, Hayter and Windsor enjoyed their own huge Wembley moment when they defeated the Brawling Birds to become AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Hayter said she was “excited” to see where things go between Baker and Persephone following what happened at All In.

She also appeared to leave the door open for a future match. If Baker and Persephone decide to form a team, Hayter pointed out that she and Windsor now happen to have the Women’s Tag Team titles, adding: “…just sayin’.”

Despite their long history together, Baker and Hayter have only faced each other once in an AEW singles match, which came back in 2019.

They would later become allies in 2021 before eventually going their separate ways.

Both women went on to enjoy major success at the top of AEW’s women’s division. Baker held the AEW Women’s World Championship across 2021 and 2022, while Hayter enjoyed a 190-day reign spanning 2022 and 2023.

Now, with Baker back and Hayter holding championship gold alongside Windsor, their paths could be heading towards each other once again.
