Mercedes Mone is the new AEW Women’s World Champion after defeating Willow Nightingale in a dramatic and punishing encounter at AEW All In 2026 from Wembley Stadium in London.

The championship match became increasingly physical as it progressed, with Nightingale’s already injured hand becoming a major factor in the contest.

Willow started strongly, using her power advantage to take control before sending Mone to the outside. Nightingale continued to apply pressure, but Mercedes soon turned her attention towards the champion’s injured hand.

Mone was busted open during the contest, with blood running down her face, but that did little to slow down the challenger. Mercedes removed a turnbuckle pad and sent Willow face-first into the exposed corner before repeatedly attacking her damaged hand and arm.

The champion refused to give up and continued fighting through the pain. Willow landed several major moves, including an avalanche Spanish Fly and a diving moonsault across Mone’s back, but neither was enough to secure the victory.

Mercedes also came close after hitting the Money Maker following another collision with the exposed turnbuckle, only for Nightingale to kick out.

The match descended into chaos when Willow connected with a Pounce that sent Mone crashing into referee Aubrey Edwards, leaving the official down.

With the referee unable to maintain control, the fight moved outside, where Mone repeatedly smashed Willow’s injured hand into the announce desk and steel steps. Mercedes then removed part of the protective wrapping around the injury and continued targeting the hand.

Mone attempted to use the AEW Women’s World Championship as a weapon, but Willow stopped her and eventually used the title herself, striking Mercedes several times.

Nightingale followed with the Doctor Bomb inside the ring, but Edwards was still recovering and was unable to make the count in time.

Willow continued looking for the victory and sent Mercedes into the exposed turnbuckle with a Buckle Bomb. Mone survived and eventually regained control as the match entered its closing stages.

Mercedes locked Nightingale in the Statement Maker before transitioning into a cutthroat crossface, preventing the champion from escaping while continuing to punish her injured arm and hand.

With Willow fading and unable to properly defend herself, Edwards called for the bell.

Mercedes Mone defeated Willow Nightingale by referee stoppage with the cutthroat Statement Maker to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.

The victory gives Mone the biggest championship of her AEW career and brings Nightingale’s reign to an end following an intense battle at Wembley.
