WWE’s plans for a major women’s match at Sunday Night’s Main Event may have changed ahead of the September 6 show in Atlanta.

An earlier report suggested WWE had loosely discussed a six-woman tag team match featuring Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley against Fatal Influence.

However, a new report from TRNBCKL Gold claims WWE is now considering a very different set of opponents.

According to the report, the current plan being discussed would see Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley take on Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab.

The match is also reportedly expected to be announced during the August 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Nothing has been officially confirmed by WWE, meaning the plans could still change before Friday night.

Interestingly, Flair, Bliss and Paxley remain together in both reported versions of the match. The uncertainty surrounds who they will actually face.

The previous report had Fatal Influence in that position, with WrestleVotes’ JoeyVotes revealing during a Q&A that the match had been discussed.

“I do know the women’s trios match, Fatal Influence vs. Alexa, Tatum, and Charlotte, has been loosely discussed to make that card. They are treating this event as a PLE-lite.”

The latest information now points towards Cargill, Michin and B-Fab taking that spot instead.

Until WWE officially announces the match, either possibility could remain on the table.

Sunday Night’s Main Event is already shaping up to be a significant show at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton and Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi have already been scheduled for September 6.

Baron Corbin will also face Lil Yachty in a five-minute challenge, with a potential United States Championship opportunity for Trick Williams at stake.

For now, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley appear to be heading towards a six-woman tag team match. The big question is whether Fatal Influence or the team of Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab will be standing across the ring.
