Kevin Nash has revealed that there are several world championship victories from his legendary wrestling career that he has no memory of.

Speaking on Kliq This alongside Sean Oliver, Nash was responding to a listener who asked whether he ever wanted to add the NWA or TNA World Championship to the WWE and WCW world titles he captured during his career.

For Nash, however, becoming WWE Champion had already fulfilled the goal he set when entering professional wrestling.

“No, I mean I would have if somebody would have told me that they wanted me to do it. But once I won the WWE Championship, I was a world champion. I attained a goal when I broke in. I wanted to be a world champion.”
Nash explained that he never viewed holding a world championship as automatically meaning somebody was the best wrestler in the business.

“I knew that didn’t mean you were the best. I just knew that it meant you were in a good position, and I wanted to be in that position.”
He then made a surprising admission about some of the biggest moments of his career.

“There’s several times in my life that I see clips of me winning world championship matches, and I have no recollection of them.”
Nash captured the WWE Championship from Bob Backlund at Madison Square Garden on November 26, 1994, defeating him in just eight seconds.

Backlund had defeated Bret Hart for the championship only three days earlier at Survivor Series before dropping it to Nash. Nash went on to hold the title for 358 days before losing it to Hart at Survivor Series the following year.

His reign remains the longest WWE Championship run of the 1990s and established Nash, then competing as Diesel, as one of WWE's leading stars during a difficult period for the company.

Nash made another major career move in 1996 when he joined WCW alongside Scott Hall. The pair later joined Hulk Hogan to form the New World Order, creating one of the most influential factions in wrestling history.

During his WCW run, Nash became a five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

His first reign began at Starrcade 1998 when he defeated Goldberg, ending the undefeated streak that had become one of WCW's biggest storylines. Just over a week later came the infamous Fingerpoke of Doom on Nitro, with Nash dropping the championship to Hogan after being poked in the chest and falling to the mat.

Across WWE and WCW, Nash accumulated six recognised world championship reigns.

He also enjoyed significant success in the tag team division, winning 12 world tag team championships across WCW, WWE and TNA, as well as holding the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Nash worked for TNA Wrestling across several spells beginning in 2004 and became a two-time TNA Legends Champion, although he never captured the promotion's world championship or the NWA World Heavyweight Championship during his time there.

Elsewhere during the same episode, Nash discussed the physical toll professional wrestling has taken on his body. His career included a serious quadriceps tear at the age of 42, while he has since undergone replacement surgery on both knees.

Nash made his professional wrestling debut in 1990 and competed in his final match in January 2020, giving him an in-ring career spanning almost three decades.

Now 67, Nash was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame individually in 2015 before receiving a second induction as a member of the nWo in 2020.
