WWE taped this Friday’s episode of SmackDown on Monday night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Canada, following the August 24 edition of RAW.

With the show recorded in advance, full spoilers have now emerged for the August 28 broadcast, including a chaotic main event scene, a returning WWE Hall of Famer and several notable confrontations.

WWE SmackDown Spoilers - Ottawa, Canada - August 28

• Kevin Owens opened the show with a promo before CM Punk made his way out. Gunther then joined the confrontation, followed by Finn Balor. The segment ultimately led to Owens, Gunther and Balor being placed into a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match.
  
  
• The Irresistible Forces, Nia Jax and Lash Legend, defeated Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green. There was also concern surrounding Green during the match, with medics attempting to take her away before she returned.
  
  
• Gunther interrupted a meeting involving SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and Danhausen.
  
  
• Jacy Jayne picked up a victory over Paige.
  
  
• Following the match, Nikki Bella made her return and attacked Paige.
  
  
• Blake Monroe took part in a backstage interview, but things quickly turned physical when Giulia attacked her.
  
  
• The Triple Threat Match between Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Gunther ended via disqualification after Sami Zayn interfered.
  
  
• CM Punk then emerged as the situation descended into chaos. Zayn ultimately stood tall after taking everybody out and raising the championship to close the segment.
