Stephanie Vaquer officially has her next opportunity at WWE gold locked in.

During Monday night’s episode of WWE Raw, the company confirmed that Vaquer will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship on the September 7 edition of the show.

The announcement came on a successful night for Vaquer, who picked up a victory over Roxanne Perez despite the Judgment Day once again attempting to influence proceedings.

Morgan tried to interfere during the contest before turning her attention to Vaquer following the final bell. However, the Women’s World Champion’s attempted post-match attack was cut short when Becky Lynch arrived to even the odds.

Lynch sent Morgan retreating through the crowd, adding another chapter to a title picture that continues to involve all three women.

The battle for Morgan’s Women’s World Championship has been developing since the Raw following SummerSlam.

Morgan celebrated her victory over IYO SKY by claiming she had effectively cleared out the competition and there was nobody left to challenge her. That confidence did not last long.

Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch both returned that night and immediately made their championship ambitions known. The pair also took the fight to the Judgment Day, leaving Morgan with two major threats to her reign.

Since then, Vaquer and Lynch have continued to clash with members of the Judgment Day while also exchanging words with each other over who deserves to stand at the front of the championship queue.

Vaquer now has the first confirmed opportunity, with Morgan scheduled to put the Women’s World Championship on the line against her on September 7.

With Lynch still firmly involved in the situation, however, the title rivalry may be far from a straightforward one-on-one affair.
