WWE house shows have firmly returned to the company’s touring schedule, with the promotion currently making its way through the 2026 Summer Tour.
After staging live events across Europe and the United States in recent months, WWE is now touring Canada. The company’s international schedule is also set to expand further in September with a run of events across South America.
According to Fightful Select, WWE sources have indicated that one of the key goals behind the renewed emphasis on house shows is producing moments capable of gaining traction online. Those moments do not necessarily need to involve major angles, with unexpected interactions between talent who rarely cross paths on television seen as another way to generate social media attention.
That approach has already resulted in some unusual combinations and memorable scenes during recent WWE live events.
LA Knight has teamed alongside Oba Femi, while Femi has also found himself partnering with Danhausen. Danhausen has become particularly prominent during the tour, including an unexpected moment in which Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes both planted a kiss on him.
Kevin Owens later got involved in the fun by delivering a Stunner to Danhausen, seemingly using the popular wrestler to send a message directly to Punk.
With house shows offering WWE more freedom away from its weekly television storylines, the company appears increasingly willing to use the events to experiment with unlikely pairings and spontaneous interactions designed to get wrestling fans talking online.
