Elijah Holyfield is set for a new chapter in his wrestling career, with Shawn Michaels revealing that the WWE prospect will be making his way to AAA.

The announcement was made during the latest episode of WWE LFG, where Michaels delivered the news to Holyfield following his latest appearance on the A&E reality series.

Holyfield teamed with Apollo Crews for a tag team match against Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins. Following the bout, Michaels sat down with Holyfield and revealed that an opportunity had opened up for him to gain further experience in AAA.

Michaels explained that WWE has viewed Holyfield as a valuable prospect since his arrival, while also acknowledging that injuries have presented some obstacles during his development.

“I think, coming in the door, you were a very valued prospect to us. I’m sure, maybe from your perspective, it has been a while.”

“Maybe you’ve had some setbacks with the injury, but an opportunity has arose for for us to get you into the game. You are going to have the opportunity to go down to AAA and show the world who Elijah Holyfield truly is.”

The move will also reunite Holyfield with a very familiar mentor. Michaels confirmed that The Undertaker, who previously coached Holyfield on WWE LFG, will be involved as he begins this next stage of his career.

“You will be meeting up with your old trainer, the Undertaker. The possibilities down there are going to be unlimited for you. Congratulations, and thank you very much for always giving it your best.”

Holyfield, the son of legendary heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield, made his WWE in-ring debut ahead of an NXT television taping in 2024 before later becoming part of the WWE LFG cast.

During his time on the series, Holyfield worked under The Undertaker, receiving guidance from the WWE Hall of Famer as he continued developing his character and in-ring abilities.

His move to AAA now gives Holyfield an opportunity to gain experience in a different wrestling environment while once again working alongside one of his original LFG mentors.
