Randy Orton could be making his presence felt on WWE SmackDown tonight following his surprise appearance at SummerSlam.
While WWE has yet to officially include Orton in its online preview for the August 7 edition of SmackDown, Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena is advertising The Viper for tonight’s broadcast.
Orton made headlines at SummerSlam when he returned and delivered an RKO to Cody Rhodes. Now, the venue is promoting his return to Friday Night SmackDown just days after that major moment.
The arena announced:
“JUST ANNOUNCED! The Viper Randy Orton returns to SmackDown after RKOing Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam Use code LASTCHANCE for 30% off select tickets. Offer ends Friday at 10:00AM.”
The announcement comes as the Xfinity Mobile Arena has been running ticket promotions ahead of tonight’s show. In addition to the LASTCHANCE offer providing 30% off selected seats, a two-for-one ticket deal was promoted earlier in the week.
According to WrestleTix, 9,138 tickets had been distributed as of Friday morning.
For comparison, WWE’s previous visit to the venue came for the February 2, 2026 episode of Raw, which reportedly attracted 13,726 fans.
Orton’s advertised appearance adds another major name to a SmackDown already featuring several post-SummerSlam developments.
WWE SmackDown Lineup For Friday, August 7, 2026
- Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill
- CM Punk and Kevin Owens segment
- Chelsea Green returns as Interim WWE Women’s Champion
It remains to be seen what Orton will have to say or do following his RKO on Rhodes, particularly with the SummerSlam incident potentially opening the door to a new storyline.
